“Be Prepared”…such is the motto of the Scout. AAGC has forged a symbiotic relationship with the Girls and Boys Scouts of Central Texas that may sustain a lifetime.

And prepared to help is exactly what the Scouts have done for the garden and in turn how the garden has helped numerous scouts meet, exceed, and fulfil their service requirements. Many of the gardens most important amenities were built and installed by scouts for which we are eternally grateful.

These amenities include:

• 3 massive harvest tables
• 18 water stations
• An herb spiral
• A Little Library
• An arbor bench
• Mini picnic tables
• A bee hotel
• A vegetable washing station
• Garden art
• Scouts have also helped to construct 15 of the gardens 4′ x 12′ plots, as well as participated in numerous community workdays
